Are passports taking at the moment? Specifically renewals for kids. Thank you.

my little boys took 10 days to come back - got it back last Thursday. We are in the North.

Did mine recently - 2 weeks

A week for an adult renewal, 10 days for a new child’s one. Shockingly fast and efficient for a government department.

A week (adult renewal, not fast-tracked)

We got DS2s first passport, it took a week.

My neighbour's took 2 weeks - from 2nd April to yesterday. Do it fast though @spinningplates68 Once you get into the summer (like late May/early June to end of August,) the passport office becomes very busy!

2 weeks - hats off to the passport office we've had to do a number of family members and they get it back every time ..

My DDs renewal was very quick, about 8 days

That's fine. We have booked a holiday for August but just realised one of the dc passports runs out the week before we are due to fly! But hopefully there's plenty of time to sort it. Just remember a few years back when it was taking literally months for passports to come back.

Ah yeah that was the horrific covid days @spinningplates68 !!

Shouldn't take long, but as I said, do it ASAP.
