Can anyone help?

I can't find the right information. We're going to Belfast in May and it is the first time we've been. I'm a fairly experienced traveller but mainly long haul.

We're flying from Manchester to George Best airport. My question is; how early do we need to get to the airport? Is it 2 hours like an international flight?

I know Manchester security is really shocking at the moment but that aside is 2 hours too early? We fly at 6.30

Buy a security fast pass for £6- it does really help. Definitely don't check a bag as the bag drops all take ages.
If you do both of those things 1.5 hrs will do. If you need a bag or don't have a pass then definitely 2hours. Manchester is rubbish.

2 hours is probably about right. I’ve cut it fine and arrived 45 mins before recently for a short haul flight at a very quiet airport… but I wouldn’t dare do that at Manchester! I go with 3 hours for long haul with bag drop, 2 for short with hand luggage only. I’ve never been stuck for time.

It's 3 hours for most europe flights at Manchester....but in Feb it was great. T2 and we cleared security in minutes. There was no queue.
But it really depends which terminal and how many other flights around the same time.
