Unexpected freaky things

AIBU to ask if any freaky or unexpected things have happened to you when you go out?

I was out at lunchtime having bought my soup and walking back to to work in central London, slightly in a world of my own, when suddenly this pigeon just flew straight into the side of my head really hard. It was quite windy so my longish hair was waving about a bit and it's wings all got caught in it before it flew off. There was loads of flapping noise and it completely freaked me out...made me wonder if anything like that happened to anyone else or if it's just me!?

Love the username! This would literally be my idea of an absolute nightmare. I hate pigeons SO much...all the flapping...urgh! You poor thing!!

A little bird landed on my daughters head once, it was really sweet and she wasn’t scared and neither was the bird.

Now though she would probably scream.

Once tried to take ds to the shop in the buggy. Neighbourhood dcat sat on his lap and refused to get off! Same dcat tried to board the school bus with the older dc many times... Same boy hitch hiked in the removal van when their ndn moved! He is a huge ginger scamp!! We are moving soon and we will all miss him! Unless he tags along on the van..

When my sister and I were small and staying at our grandmother’s house, we used to have to return glass milk bottles to a house on the main road that acted as a sort of unofficial distribution centre for the creamery. The only way there was down a wooded boreen full of birds nests in season, and a particularly protective pair of blackbirds used to dive bomb our heads from either side, so we would always get to the other end out of breath and freaked out. My sister loathes both birds and the country to this day.

Sounds a real character! I have my own ginger bundle sitting on my lap now but fortunately she doesn't try to escape in removal vans!
