I couldnt believe it when she sat and said her little baby had chicken pox but was no longer contagious but she might be as she never had it. THis is a baby group with little newborns, pregnant mums and older babies. Surely if parents want to expose their children to chicken pox it should be their choice, not her choice. Really made me . If someone isnt aware they have a bug then it cant be helped but she went there knowingly.. and guess what. Turns out she was contagious and has come out in spots now. grr.

That's shocking, very irresposible.

I don't think YABU. My DS2 has just had them and we didn't go anywhere where he might spread it, DS3 caught it from him and I didn't take him anywhere either. (We have been to the supermarket during the contagious but still spotty period though). Not fair on PG mums or babies, or anyone else really.

I had a friend who invited herself round so her ill DC could catch Cpox from my DS, that pissed me off too. I refused as I didn't want my already ill DS catching someting else while his immune system was down, or my baby catching Cpox with something else.

DS2 was really ill with them, luckily DS3 seems to have only had a mild case. Hope you and your DCs are ok.

YANBU She should be spoken to by the leader as that is unreasonable, not to say dangerous for the pregnant mums!

If she thought that she might have it there is no excuse!!!!!

RiaisMaLarkin · 30/03/2008 23:05

If it's any consolation I believe it's s seriously horrible thing to have as an adult...

RiaisMaLarkin · 30/03/2008 23:07

oops , I meant NOT contagious but still spotty. Not even to see grandma as she had been really ill with flu and we didn't want to make her worse.

LaComtesse · 30/03/2008 23:17

She was outrageously stupid.

I can agree - CP or a variant of it, is something akin to the second circle of hell, as an adult. I had this two years ago and it wasn't pleasant.

MamaMaiasaura · 30/03/2008 23:21

What a shame she will be suffering then not .

Just hope preg mum there didnt catch it as she was next to her.
