That today I have been promoted, given a 10%raise and a bonus coming my way!!!

After coming back from 5 year break to have kids in 2022, I pushed myself every step of the way and today been told i have been appreciated for my hard work and it us all finally paying off!!

Every time i drop my children at nursery and school, i miss them and struggled with mum guilt both times but telling myself its also for their own well being.

At work, I always get this Imposter syndrome everytime i get appreciated but here is a proof that words are not just words!! Its not much in terms of money for peers maybe but this is huge for me!!

I am so happy that I am shaking!!!

I am sharing this here because I think this is unique in a way only you guys can fully understand ❤️

@AnnPerkins small company branch of about 35 people, this was my first pay review since I joined! So I suppose it was long overdue but did not expect/expected just bare minimum but they surprised me!

Bloody well done OP. You should be proud. Lovely to read as I’m just retraining now and juggling nursery and 2 kids at school and imposter syndrome after 9 years as a SAHM so a massive change and nerve wracking!

@MasterBeth I know!! I've been on the same salary during CoL all through and I get that this is behind compared to my peers but I am enjoying the fact it is more than I expected and they really did what they could for now 😁
