DS2 is 5 weeks old and i've just managed to get all the thank you cards written and posted (all 32 of them!!). DH didnt contribute at all, didnt even write the ones to his family so....
in all of them I referred to DS2 as the short version of his name which I prefer even though DH prefers him to be called his full name, therefore indicating to all friends and relatives that 'we' call him the shortened name and now probably they will too

Was I unreasonable?

No, you were being clever. Award yourself a gold star for effort and another for tactics!

BBBee · 30/03/2008 20:34

Nope! If he was that bothered he should have helped. My DP didnt help wiv the thank you cards at all I constantly had his mother on the phone askin me if i had wrote one for 'so and so who id never ever met'!!! I had a load of people who i just said thanks to and gave up after the baby turned 5 months!

I agree with edam. You are very clever - especially so with a post-pregnancy brain. Your DH has underestimated you

like a father gets any say in the matter

cod

Do you write them like you type?

cocolepew · 30/03/2008 21:19

I still make sure I sign any cards from dh to his family so I can use the shortened version of his name. It really annoys MIL . I run dc's off on the computer
