Hi all,

I'm so sorry to ask on aibu but it gets more traffic so I'm hoping I'll get more opinions and recommendations posting here rather than on holidays.

We're a family of four, 2 adults, a four year old and two year old and I'm wanting to go away for a month at the end of February until the end of March as a once in a lifetime trip sort of thing for my 30th birthday.

I have £10k for flights, hotel and spending money for food, activities and merch.

Where the bloody hell do I go? I thought of Japan as per a previous post but I've had mixed reactions to whether I have enough and don't want to go to find out we're short, also thought of Thailand but apparently it's hot as hell at that time of year so please can I have some ideas of what I can do?

Any and all ideas welcome, might be something I haven't thought about!

Thank you all xx

Vietnam is an amazing country, we travelled from Hanoi down to Saigon using sleeper trains and stopping for a few nights in various beach resorts. I'm not sure I'd do it with such young children though. I think a villa with a pool somewhere hot and sunny and European would be nice. Or a cruise? As long as you don't get seasick like I did!

America is wildly expensive right now and if you’ve been to Florida then definitely take the opportunity for something different!

Bali! We did a month there when DD was 5 months old and it was fantastic. Spent about £7k total but I think with an older child it could creep up to the 10k with additional food etc.
