Feel so depressingly single

Been to an event yesterday. Everyone in couples. Didn't know anyone apart from the hosts. Fancied a guy, we chatted a lot and went out for a vape just us but I couldn't tell whether he fancied me. Feel like I've forgotten how to pick up on signals and how to flirt. Have a first date from hinge tomorrow and don't particularly want to go, feel too fat and like I don't have interesting things to talk about. Argh :(

That sounds shite. I met my H through a colleague/friend, we were sort of set up, but unbeknownst to us. We were very much unsuspecting. I had been single for a long time, as had he. You never know, just keep an open mind.

I've just felt a bit miserable today really. Feel like I'll never meet anyone and no one seems to ever like me anyway!

Chin up there bud! You have to kiss a load of frogs and all that shite!. Do you go out to meet people at all or just OLD?

I don't go on nights out much, a couple of times a year. So just online dating which I hardly do as don't like it and I get so nervous. I don't know how else to meet people.

I met H through a colleague. I know that's not always possible, but it might be better to meet people through friends/colleagues than OLD. (I'm 40s, so this advice could be out of date)
