I recently saw a photo of her- she looks ill and aged. Apparently down to Ozempic - she hasn’t been able to put weight on since she stopped taking it. A shame as she was an attractive woman

It is crazy! However, she probably felt the need to change her face after what she said.

I couldn’t care less how Sharon Osborne looks, one way or the other.
I do care how she bullies other women though - even women she’s never met.
I consider that unacceptable.
And rude and crude and socially unacceptable.

When was the reality TV show work the Osbornes?. She'd had a load of work done to her face even back then. Then on the x factor or whatever, shows she's always shot in very bright light.

I remember years ago reading Ben Elton 's book, this other Eden(?) and thinking it ridiculous that his satirical view is a future was where women looked strange with wrinkles. Brave new world is another. Why do we expect to see women in their 70s with tightly stretched faces? Where are the women in the 70s with their own faces? Why does society abhor the sight of an aged woman?

Ozempic is out of your body by 6 weeks. There's absolutely no way her body metabolism has changed so much that she has continued to lose weight unless she is restricting. Research shows the opposite happens for most people who rapidly regain. About 30% will not regain but absolutely nobody in any of the research continued to lose weight to a dangerous level after they stopped the drug.

I think the unspoken MN rule is that people can freely comment on and slag off women under 50. As clearly seen on other threads. But not women aged over 50..

FWIW, she looks like a cautionary tale of the perils of taking Ozempic to me.

She’s 71. I think she looks great for 71! God what is wrong with people.

There's tens of thousands of dollars work in that face and it's gone too far. But these cosmetic surgeons will give you what you want if you just keep signing an open cheque.

Even if they know it's bad for you.

I've just watched the Loose Women clip and I think she looks amazing! She doesn't look 70 but she doesn't look any age really - she could be anything from 50 to 85, with a lot of work done and heavy makeup.

I do find it sad that women feel they have to look a certain way. All the women who get work done as they age look very similar. I believe those who take a keen interest in this can tell straight away which surgeon did what work.

Still, Sharon O seems to have picked well. Yes, she looks standard. Pity her "going my own way" ethos doesn't extend to ageing in her body's own way but, then again, I don't really blame her given the life she lives.

It's not about how aged she looks at 71 - it's about how shockingly underweight she looks now. She looked to me to be under 100 pounds, possibly around 90lbs, so the sort of weight I associate with anorexics like Karen Carpenter. Turns out she weighs around 95 pounds, from what she's said. She's said she'd liked to put on 10 pounds, and that she'd like to be about 105 pounds.

MN posters are forever banging on about osteoporosis - being this thin is a major risk factor for it. If you get ill, and have no weight to spare, at 70-odd years of age, you risk serious repercussions.

I immediately thought she was unwell again when I saw her. I don’t care how she ‘looks’ - but I do care about health and she looks dangerously skeletal and frail.

If she is unwell she has the right to keep it private. I doubt we know all of the facts. To continue to lose weight after stopping the injections suggests something else is going on.
