Ta to child ratio

AIBU to think that one newish member of staff to 60 kids in a playground, even for 5 minutes is not okay? Younger years primary school aged.
The normal ratio is 1:13 so 1:60 at any time, playground or not is surely not right..?

It's rubbish but normal. There should be an easy way to get help if needed.

The ratio of 1:13 only applies to nursery. Even in Reception it's 1:30 for teaching. There are no ratios for lunch and break.
We always have 2 staff (1 teacher 1 TA) at break and each class has their own lunch time supervisor and all staff are first aid trained.

Whilst not ideal I would say the situation you have described is more normal than people expect and my school is overstaffed.
