To be so annoyed he ate all the Penguins

I am livid.
We have a tin of chocolate biscuits in the cupboard. It was full of Penguins, some of which were the cheaper Aldi ‘Seal’ alternative, okay but not has good. DH has eaten all the penguins and left me with only the sub par Seal bars. Absolute prick, I’m thinking LTB.

Jammy wagon wheels have been about for years. They're in a blue not red packaging and they are lovely 🤤

If you are anywhere near a Waitrose, go and buy some TimTams. They are Australian versions of (or the original?) penguins, but oh, so superior. I probably ate my body weight in them on a 3 week trip to Aus.

Whenever I buy a multipack of something I'm particular to, I hide 1 or 2 in the weetabix box, otherwise the plague of locusts I live with will descend and take them all. I comfort myself with the fact that they're welcome to find and eat them....they've just got to start choosing a high fibre breakfast first!

If you ever go to prison with a largely millennial/gen x population it's good to know these things as we'll not be trading smokes anymore.

I was relying on doing an Andy du Fresne when I end up doing bird, i.e. being quite good with paperwork. Chocolate biscuit-based trading seems far too risky. What if top dog's favourite is a Tunnock's tea-cake and you've only got an orange club? That's yer head in the laundry press.

Back in lockdown my DH ate all my Jaffa Cakes one day. He doesn't even like Jaffa Cakes. It was the queueing up 30 minutes to get in a shop height of lockdown. He is very, very lucky to have survived that.

Years ago Jaffa cakes did a cranberry limited edition box and my DH ate them all (he did it spitefully as I had eaten a full box of the chocolate covered Christmas biscuits, those mini ones that are like the animal crackers but 'festive friends'. I ate them all as I bought them FOR ME. I used to get a box every year since before I met DH, but often shared them with him.)

It must be 15+ years since he did that and I still haven't forgiven him and Jaffa and never made cranberry flavoured again 😕

I would be very tempted to hide said wagon wheels elsewhere in a stash and let him look everywhere for them so that he has to admit to stashing them! Potentially at the bottom of the penguin box

Haha, I suspect there are many of us and we could start a club. We can arrange elicit meetings to pass Mars bars, cream buns and the last piece of birthday cake from person-to-person 😂

My dad did me a massive favour and stayed to look after one of my cats while I was at work. She'd just had surgery. I'd left a big chunk of Easter egg in a bowl in the fridge, and was really looking forward to it. I told him he could eat the chocolate left in the box. But not the bowl. Guess which bit he ate!
