When will benefits increase be reflected in payments?

Just that really. I'm on universal credit and thought it was increasing this month, but wondering now if its next month that it'll be reflected in payments as it is paid in arrears?

It should show up on your next payment.... the benefits raise is valid from the 8/4/2024

Thank you. I couldn't find this info anywhere.

Maverick99 you are very welcome. Check your statement from universal credit and it should be on there x

If your statement was calculated before yesterday then it will be next month that you'll see the new rates.

I get paid on the 15th so my statement became available today and the new rates aren't on there this time.

UC is paid in arrears so depending on your assessment period, it could be end of the month/early May before you get the increase.

I get paid on the 15th too and was surprised it wasn't on there. My assessment period is the 9th-8th so thought I would have it.

It will be next month for sure then as the new rates only started yesterday and your statement is for the previous month when the old rates were still applicable.

Fair enough. Slightly skinter than I thought I'd be this month 😅

It will be from May everyone starts to see it.

It's only from the 8th so it won't be shown if your month ends on April the 8th. Remember benefits are paid in arrears (as are salaries)
