Ovulation pain

Is it normal to get this so severely?

I suffer with it to some degree every month. Bloating, aching, occasionally stabby pains in one side. But last night it was worse than I've ever had it. A really heavy, painful ache that radiated around my back. It's gone this morning but it was way worse than period pains.

Starting to worry if it could be a sign of a cyst or something else in the area. Does anyone else get this very badly?

I used to. No ovaries now. One particularly memorable time, I got up in the night in terrible pain to get a drink. Went downstairs and promptly fainted on the floor. The Dr was completely unconcerned but if you are worried do go and get checked out.
