I've a feeling the OP is an avid GB news viewer but is using TikTok as an excuse. This is why they thought we'd all automatically know what they were talking about.

Anyone who's been on MN longer than about 10 years will remember all the avid Daily Mail readers who used to pretend they idly picked it up at the hairdressers or at their PIL's house, but hell would freeze over before they told the truth.

I don't watch GB News in the evening (not very appealing content) but it's generally fucking hilarious in the mornings, the banter between the presenters is great and whoever Ellie is paired with she really makes me laugh; Paul Coyt makes every sportish news very interesting, even if you're not a fan.

Worse than Peter Andre is the shite spouted by Neil Oliver on his 'slot', whilst I like a lot of his previous history programmes, can't bear his latest show, it's shite.

Really? He's a hedge fund manager who's switched political allegiance several times, tried (and failed) to be an MP, and has recently been exposed for liking and retweeting far right material on twitter.

He also supplements various conservative MPs salaries to the tune of £1000 per hour of broadcasting and the channel is regularly reprimanded for breaking broadcasting rules.

Karen is offensive because it refers to women who are a particular age in a derogatory way. That's sexist and also unfair to women who are actually called Karen.

Gammon is offensive because gammons don't like it. It's not sexist and actually about as offensive as my child calling me "bumlicker".

For this venture, its not about profit, its about influencing the wider conversation and pushing the Overton window further to the right, in the hope of encouraging the wider public to support Libertarian, Everyman for himself, small state, markets (aka billionaire's) control us politics, in the style of Liz Truss.

If they can create culture war material, have people debating their talking points on places like here and Twitter, they will eventually be picked up by the national press who’ll amplify their messaging. In the national press they will have bots and Reform employees (it’s a company not a party) all over comments sections. UKIP/Reform claim this shows the real people support them, the Tories and Labour pull further to the right as a result . It’s £48m well spent. Value for money.

There are very few people who I would describe as great but I do like Andrew Doyle's Free Speech Nation.

He's a left wing gay man, a playwright, journalist and comedian who doesn't like the authoritarianism of many who describe themselves as left wing or progressive.

I'm a dyed in the wool Leftie and have been for years but will happily tune into GB News to watch his show. There are interesting debates and he has many women guests such as Helen Joyce and Sarah Phillimore who are ignored by other news channels.

You can’t just automatically assume he’s not a good guy the minute you see him on GB news. You might have bothered to provide a bit more detail as to what’s he’s been saying in your OP as it was a wee bit confusing like we were missing essential info.

Thanks to the poster upthread who filled us in. IMO if he came on saying he likes the Sussexes I assume he’s not trying to play up to the subsection of frothing daily mail commenters who watch it . Unless I actually hear something bad he’s said or done I won’t assume someone’s no longer a nice person for appearing on GB news.
