Inspired by the ‘biggest problems’ thread.
What is the best thing about your life at the moment? What do you feel proud of or what has changed your life for the better?

I don’t have anything to share but I’d love to hear some positive inspiration!

My husband is has been my absolute rock for 18 years. He's one in a million.

LaWench · 06/04/2024 21:17

My husband. Been together 25yrs and rarely argue, v. good sex, he's more hands on around the house than I am and hes a fab Dad, he's a keeper.

My DDs, both great girls.

My job, it's flexible WFH with low stress and workload, paid OK with loads of benefits.

Baneofmyexistence · 06/04/2024 21:51

I’m grateful for our home. Despite needing LOTS of work we are happy here. My DH has always got my back and my kids are happy. We always have enough money for bills and food and a bit left over to have a holiday and treat the DC. Very lucky really!

Happyholidays78 · 06/04/2024 21:53

My family are healthy ❤️

TabbyMcTat2 · 06/04/2024 22:00

My cat. I honestly don't know where I would be without him. He is 15 now and I know I won't have him for much longer. I cherish everyday we have together.

My husband is honestly an earth angel. I'm so blessed he was sent my way.

Our youngest son is pretty much the same (18) very kind caring and loving.

I'm also proud that we have come from absolute poverty, bleak rough council estates, no money to heat the house, regularly going hungry, bullied for our clothes, both sets of parents in low paid irregular work etc... to us both having good jobs and owning our own home. I wanted to give my kids better than I ever had and im so proud we have achieved that ❤️

JustEatTheOneInTheBallPit · 06/04/2024 22:30

My fantastic husband and our incredible family. My house.

I also own about 250 patterned dresses and they all sparka joy.

A decade ago I had the worst boss ever. A vertically challenged knob who would slag everyone off behind their back. Completely broke me as I ended up doing the job of at least two people when he refused to replace my colleague who fled his reign of terror. When the wheels came off due to his lack of resourcing, I was scapegoated and resigned. He then hired THREE people to replace me.

Today I earn more than double what I did then, have a great boss, WFH mostly, and for a company with a good culture.

WishesPromised · 06/04/2024 23:09

My health.

My (grown up) DCs

Being self-employed, both in terms of what I do & able to manage my time to suit myself

My DP - he's kind to people & animals I love that about him

Relationship the way that suits me best ie living 15 minutes down the road from each other, I dont really want to live with anyone

My friends
My brothers

A good book, or music

Im grateful for life and every day, I think that makes a difference. I worked hard for years, have been in debt, used to worry what would happen when im older. Now Im here, Im thankful not to have to worry about any of that

GeorgieAnne · 06/04/2024 23:33
  • My lovely husband. He's had a serious health scare and it's made me appreciate what a gem he is.
  • My two kids, who despite being typical teens, are my pride and joy.
  • Lovely mum, who has always been my rock.
  • Fab siblings, who are there when it matters.
  • Interesting job.
  • Lovely dog and two super cats.
  • Financial security.

There are problems but we're focusing on the positives! Putting all of this into words makes me realise I'm very lucky indeed.

bert3400 · 06/04/2024 23:39

Me & DH ...we are a really good team. 15 years ago we were both struggling with low paid jobs and a young child. We started a business, it's grown to a very successful company. We have given our family opportunities ( they work for the company) that many jobs don't offer ( freedom to work remotely and an excellent salary) ...I'm so proud of us with what we have achieved.

jessyjo2 · 07/04/2024 01:34

God in my life.
I dont need to feel lonely, God is there.
I dont need to feel unloved, God loves me more than any human possibility could.
When other people let me down, it reminds me that God will never fail me, he will always be there.
I dont need to feel guilty about my past mistakes, iv asked God to forgive me, he has deleted them away.
I always have someone to talk to, God is available 24/7.
If I need direction, God has provided a book to guide me.
I dont need to worry about my future, when the day comes I know im going to heaven forever, a place much better than I can possibility imagine.

Living my dream
Travelling
Currently in a hot Asian country, about to explore an ancient city at leisure
Sights, sounds, smells, feelings

My loving, supportive partner is with me

No money worries

Perfect

EveningLanternWalk · 07/04/2024 04:27

Travelling, after a couple of years of buying & selling properties, decluttering, downsizing, relocating, recycling.
Putting plans into action & fulfilling them

There was actually a lot of hard work & stress before the travelling

But worth it !
