Inspired by the ‘biggest problems’ thread.
What is the best thing about your life at the moment? What do you feel proud of or what has changed your life for the better?

I don’t have anything to share but I’d love to hear some positive inspiration!

My DC. They are my world and I'm so proud of all they have achieved recently.

Mayhemmumma · 06/04/2024 20:13

My DD8 who is my little joybringer and is growing into a rather incredible human and DH who is my best friend and my safe space. I am also very lucky to have a number of really close, long-standing friends who are my family.

Everything is good at the moment .
Been married nearly 30 years, have good relationship with adult DS.
No major health issues (although I could do with losing some weight)
No money worries
Own our own home (it's not huge but it's paid for)
Recently retired so no more work stress
I have a lot to be thankful for.

StMarieforme · 06/04/2024 20:29

My grown up kids and my grandkids.

LoobyDop · 06/04/2024 20:29

My little family and the home we live in. It’s safe, comfortable, calm, and full of things that make me happy.

hagchic · 06/04/2024 20:31

My family - they drive me bonkers, I whinge about them loads but they are the absolute nuts and I hope they feel the same way about me.

Echobelly · 06/04/2024 20:34

That we're secure financially - I've been made redundant recently and DH has been working on his own product to launch for last 18 months but we're not having to panic as we have savings, no childcare costs and we've paid off the mortgage on our house. We are immensely fortunate in that way.

enchantedsquirrelwood · 06/04/2024 20:37

Good health. If you have that, you can deal with other issues much more easily.

Maneandfeathers · 06/04/2024 20:38

Another one here who’s just grateful for my family unit. My husband, kids, a happy home. I didn’t have that growing up and I’m so grateful to have it now. To be able to be content and not to be scared! Also the small amount of wider family I have left are great.

My dogs are also my sanity! They are always there no matter what and keep me busy.

DGPP · 06/04/2024 20:38

My children, lovely husband, a job I always wanted and enjoy, good health and enough money not to worry all the time

YouJustDoYou · 06/04/2024 20:40

I never, ever, have to worry anymore about the cost of food.

mrstambourinewoman · 06/04/2024 20:43

Kids, husband , parents . Was very seriously ill a while ago, am grateful for them all the time

SouthernBel · 06/04/2024 20:45

My husband and my child. They are the absolute lights of my life.

Adele64 · 06/04/2024 20:51

I really feel for you, I know how cruel dementia can be.
Take good care of yourself.

DancingFerret · 06/04/2024 20:51

I'm grateful every day that I can climb stairs, cook, carry shopping, get myself out of bed, and walk - basically able to live a normal life.

My mum was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis when she was pregnant with me; life was hard for her and us as a family. Good health and the mobility we tend to take for granted is a blessing.

tiggergoesbounce · 06/04/2024 20:53

Our DS, we are so thankful for him. My husband as we are such a great team together. Our families- while occasionally can be a headache- they would do anything for us.

tiggergoesbounce · 06/04/2024 20:54

Oh and my friends again a great, kind bunch of people x

dreamygirl25 · 06/04/2024 20:55

I love my husband and kids but the greatest improvement to my life has been my electric blanket 😂😂

foghead · 06/04/2024 20:56

All my family
Access to beautiful forests and lots of nature

ChipsCheeseAndGravey · 06/04/2024 21:00

I now live in the flat I used to sit and gaze at when I was sofa surfing. I used to sit outside the cafe across and look at the flat and be like “yhe well one day I’ll have a nice flat of my own mark my words” and now by some good luck and a lot of hard work I actually have that exact flat. Decorated how I like, whimsical and fun. My cat and best friend also live with me so I think life is pretty sweet.

GrumpyMiddleAgedCow · 06/04/2024 21:04

My dog! And the unconditional love she shows EVER SINGLE day (even the ones I don’t shower 😂)

opentoadvice88 · 06/04/2024 21:07

My relationship. Was tempted to say my husband initially but it’s a two way street and we just get on. There’s a high level of respect & support.

I read so many threads on here where it’s insane to me why women put up with any kind of nonsense. There are kind and brilliant men out there and until you find them, be single!

GingerPirate · 06/04/2024 21:08

Ok. 😁
Not having children!
Best decision I have ever made, by myself, for myself.
