Please settle an argument with DH!
Kids are in their 20s.
One of us thinks this is a usual thing to do.
One thinks it is weird.
I won’t tell you which of us thinks it’s weird until later….

YABU - buying eggs for adult children is WEIRD
YANBU - buying eggs for adult children is not only usual, but LOVELY

It's nice! (I'm almost 40 and my mum still sends me something in with the kids chocs!)

saraclara · 03/04/2024 21:01

Ha! Simulpost!

ScubaDivingSpiderMonkey · 03/04/2024 21:02

I'm 47 and I'd be shook if my mum all of a sudden decided I was now too old for an Easter egg.

ErinAoife · 03/04/2024 21:04

Yanbu. My Mon if I am at home for Easter will buy me an Easter egg and I will buy her one. I also did buy Easter eggs for my 20 year old son and his girlfriend. Nothing weird about it.

Newsenmum · 03/04/2024 21:06

Of course! It’s Easter and it’s chocolate!

Tessisme · 03/04/2024 21:06

I'll be buying them for my two until they tell me not to!

I bought one for DP. And then one for myself because no fucker bought me one😆

I bought eggs for my parents and MIL. I also buy them advent calendars. Started during lockdown when it was nice to send them a surprise every now & again and they really liked them so now it's become a tradition.

MagpiePi · 03/04/2024 21:09

I buy them for my two 20 somethings, and their partners.
They buy them for me too.
But I also bought one for myself in case they didn’t get me any. 😁

MereDintofPandiculation · 03/04/2024 21:16

Ha! Yes of course it’s me that’s buying and DH that thinks it is weird. I knew I’d ‘win’ I think we knew that from the wording of your YANBU Easter Grin

Bbq1 · 03/04/2024 21:24

I get one from mum every year as does dh and ds and we are 51, 54 and 18 respectively. We all buy for each other and for mum too. Nobody is ever too old for an Easter Egg!
