Sorry to post on here but I need some advice please.

We've got a lurcher pup and this evening we took him down to the local dog run and he was running with another dog when they both came hurtling towards me from behind and slammed into my ankle.

When I say I've never felt pain like it, im not exaggerating. For context I gave birth to a breach baby with no pain killers. It honestly felt like my ankle had exploded.
Its swollen up and if I knock it im screaming out in pain.

I realise I need to get it sorted if the pain doesn't stop. I'm just wondering does anyone think it sounds like its broken? I'm a single mum and self employed so I'm praying it isn't and will be ok in the morning. Thanks for any input

Oh no!! Oh poor you. But it’s good you went in and got it looked at. Speedy healing!

Oh no, poor you! I hope the painkillers are working and you can get some rest x

Yikes... I also have a friend who had similar, though the dog in question was a poodle rather than a lurcher. Three breaks in her ankle, plus femur smashing the top of her tibia. Lots of metalwork in her leg now, and a very long rehab. Clearly dog injuries are not that uncommon!

Hope your wiring goes well & you're back on your feet soon.
