Grout cleaning question?

Please excuse dumb question. New homeowner who laid VERY pale limestone effect porcelain tiles as a owner of 3 large dogs.

I have decided to deep clean the kitchen grout which has gone from white to black in a matter of months.

The steam cleaner is doing a pretty phenomenal job lifting the dirt but it’s the dirty water that is becoming a nightmare as it feels like I’m just moving it around and it’s settling elsewhere. I’m trying to pick it up with a towel/spray mop head. Just not finding it effective.

Is it worth me running out and renting a wet vacuum? Trying to pick up the muck is proving to me 80% of the job.

Or am I just in denial and hoping for a silver bullet?

I bought a floor grout brush and scrub in between the tiles a few times a week, we have a flagstone floor though. I’m sure you can softer ones for different types of tiles though.

Edited to add you can buy a motor-scrubber with interchangeable heads, I’m just to lazy to get it out or forget to charge it.

I’ve also got a little electric brush, like a toothbrush but a bit bigger, and some pink stuff paste and go over the grout with that. I’ve also made a similar paste from stuff at home, but I can’t remember the ingredients. But they both worked really well on our grout! And I find it very satisfying seeing the grout go from grey to white

Can I ask which steam cleaner you use please? I'm in the same boat and have 60m2 to keep clean which is proving very difficult!

It’s a Karcher. Using the small bristle head attachment. Really impressed, prepared myself for a lot more elbow grease.
