Ouch!! Hope you aren't expected to provide meals...

Have suggested pizza and am just making up beds. They said they wanted to 'suprise' us!

How very rude. You could have been doing anything this weekend.

I'd be very annoyed. In fact, I would tell them it's not convenient. Then they wouldn't be so fast to surprise you again.

make them do some really boring stuff 'because thats what you had planned', asda (for ages) and homebase, some diy, lots of laundry, long walk somewhere dull, late night filling in tax returns etc

dont make it fun! feed children sweets asap, then put the inlaws 'incharge'
