We're making DS change schools. For about a million very good reasons, most of which he entirely agrees with (he's done a taster day at the new school and liked it) we've accepted a place at the new school. I talked to him about it and thought he understood he'd be starting after Easter. Turns out, he thought he'd start in September. He really really doesn't want to start mid-year and is livid with us. He's being really rude and basically communicating in yes and nos without so much as a please or thank you and only being nice to the dog.
I know I'm doing the right thing but we've always all been so happy it's just awful. He's stubborn too, he'll keep it up for ages.
Starting later is not possible because he's y9 (14) so needs to choose options.
It's awful.
AIBU to just let him be a bit rude and ignore it?
