Just urgghhh....really...why is everything just so whiney and moany and pitiful at the mo? Boo fucking Hoo fucking me...

I used to LOVE MN for a good chat and debate and fun. Maybe time to stop with AIBU chat group, because its frankly boring.

What thread is normal and fun?

A chat about our BH weekds maybe?

AIBU to want a chit chat?

But now you are moaning...

Howaboutthats · 29/03/2024 20:19

There's a chat section for this reason.

I get what you mean.

So classic derail here, me and DH watched the Thunder cats theme tune on you tube the other day, for nostalgic reasons. It was like being 5 again. I recommend.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 29/03/2024 20:24

What is it that you think proves your point?

JacquesHarlow · 29/03/2024 20:26

For goodness sakes @Thudercatsrule - there is a CHAT section of Mumsnet, for people who.. want to have a lighthearted chat.

It’s as much a part of Mumsnet as AIBU is. It might not have as many, if at all, threads picked up by the Daily Mail. But it gets tons of daily traffic.

Why on earth don’t you just go and post there? AIBU has a specific remit to the forum and attracts a more spiky crowd.

Repeat after me : AIBU is not Mumsnet , etc

I'm seeing my 2 adult DC for a lovely big lunch on Sunday that my older DC is cooking. (Both DC live 15-18 miles away, and their partners will be there too.) Then we will go for a nice long walk by the lake. Hope it's nice. weather. Then we're gonna exchange Easter eggs and stuff ourselves with chocolate. Smile

Is that a better post/more cheery @Thudercatsrule ??? Grin

It’s a great post but it’s exactly why Mumsnet has a Chat forum.

It’s folk like @Thudercatsrule who want one monolithic forum , with no subsections, crammed with every type of post

No thanks.. I’d rather have AIBU for what it is. And if you don’t like it? Well, as before..: there’s a whole forum for lighthearted chat! On Mumsnet!

Awww, sounds fab! Me and DH did something similar today. Got our Playstation 2 out and played Spyro The Dragon and Crash Bandicoot! Grin

Not played them in about 17 years - since our kids were primary school age!

Fair enough. Smile Yeah @Thudercatsrule I guess jacques and some others have a point. We can go on 'chat,' for a CHAT! Grin

meganorks · 29/03/2024 21:27
