Which job?!??!! Help needed

I know this isn't a life threatening situation but I am panicking so much. I have been offered 2 jobs and have no idea which one to take (if any?!)

Current job: School based, 45 week contract £33k - supporting me on my current training qualification. Potential to be TTO so 39+4. No maternity pay.

Job offer 1: £35k - good training prospects but part time only 30 hrs. Great Mat pay.

Job offer 2: Shifts x 3 per week but year round (NHS - so would risk not being off at Xmas with kids), but AMAZING training prospects and great Mat pay.

I am stuck. Please help. I'm so upset about it, the 2nd job offer is the one I really wanted but it hadn't said shift work on the application!! Some of their other teams are normal working weeks but not this one.

Bumping!

If you're "bumping" after 11 minutes, @Fluffyblobs, perhaps your post isn't in the right forum section...?

(I'll give it another 'bump' with this post though)

Sorry what is TTO??

NCgoingdry · 27/03/2024 15:22

And what is the salary of job offer #2.

What are the shifts? Lates/nights.

On the 364 days of the year that aren’t Christmas, which job would work best for your family / would you enjoy the most?

Perhaps it’s because I’ve never had important holidays off due to the nature of my work so I’ve learnt to eg celebrate Christmas on 17th or 27th December if needed, but I wouldn’t be making decisions based on 1 day a year (potentially not every year either?).

Cant compare as no pay or hours to compare with

Fluffyblobs · 28/03/2024 07:24

Sorry job offer 2 was £35k also however having been offered job 2 she then offered me a job 3 !! Same pay £35k but Mon to Fri 9-5 regular hours and some flexibility.

Job 1 or 3 then

Fluffyblobs · 28/03/2024 07:26

Thank you everyone, sorry it's been a badly written post I was in the midst of stress and panic about wanting to find a new role better suited to my qualifications but also worrying how it would work for my family.

This 3rd offer seems so much better suited.

Also @NCgoingdry TTO is term time only which is great for kids but the job offers poor mat pay and a lot less pay progression due to it being in education. However I LOVE my school and the kids so I am very much torn between head (job 3) and heart.

I'm assuming you have kids btw

buxxcut · 28/03/2024 07:27

Job 2 gives you days off in the week to get stuff done.
