Who are you with and how much do you pay?

Virgin Media for TV and Broadband bundle - $48 a month (that should read pounds, not dollars!). I pay Netflix separately.

FarmGirl78 · 27/03/2024 19:35

This has made me feel a whole lot better about my fibre broadband going up from £16.95 to £20!!

My Dad had given me his Netflix password which came with his Virgin media as he'll never use it.

I got Paramount Plus for £39 for the whole year in new year sales.

I've got Disney+ free with my Club Lloyds Bank account.

And I pay Amazon £95 a year because I use it for the delivery, and it comes with Prime tv.

So that's an average of £31 a month for more than I could ever watch. There's loads of stuff on ITV, All4 and My5.

I can't understand anyone paying over maybe £70 a month. When did it become the norm to spend so much? I thought my brother was nuts for spending £140 a month.

Ilovegoldies · 27/03/2024 19:38

I left sky as I was paying 72 for TV and they couldn't bring it down. Once I left the phonecalls started. Nothing could tempt me back until I got offered Sky Stream. 15 per month including everything except kids and sport. Netflix is included in that too.

Lordofmyflies · 27/03/2024 19:41

Sky is a rip off. They wanted to put us up to paying £180 a month for landline, broadband and Sky TV with films and sports after our initial year ended. We moved to BT and have exactly the same plus two new landline phones for £79.

I pay £168 to Virgin Media for superfast broadband, full TV package, Sky Sport, Sky Movies, BT Sport, phone line and 1 mobile contract. I don't get Sky Atlantic though. I'm going to review it because I've got a new phone contract with Smarty for unlimited data, unlimited calls, unlimited text and unlimited tethering. All for £16 a month for a year.

You need to ring them up and threaten to leave.

Virgin £67 a month including netflix and sky sports, sky films ,phone line. we cut back on broadband speed as now only two of us we didnt need it.
Friend got theirs down from going up to £160 to £87 but they have 2 boxes.

We have 2 boxes and 2 x extra rooms plus Virgin go too. I'll give it a go because I'm out of contract now and as dson has now left home DH and I don't need ridiculously fast internet speed anymore nor extra room or second box either. We do want to keep Sky Sport, BT sport and Sky Cinema though.

£45 for virgin media.
£7.99 for Amazon ( student)
£19.99 for YouTube premium.
£21.99 for Netflix.
total:£94.97

Devon23 · 01/04/2024 19:12

£30 talk talk fibre super fast Internet. Free view TV box from talk talk £2 a month. Don't have time for much tv.

CallMikeBanning · 01/04/2024 19:15

We pay for broadband, netflix and prime. It's about £60 a month for it all I think.

ChocolateTea · 01/04/2024 19:18

We pay £45 a month for top broadband (and phone but I need to cancel the phone as we don’t need it anymore) and then pay £15 Netflix £10 Amazon prime and £10 Disney plus

Metoo15 · 01/04/2024 19:20

£5 a month for a sky box with the freeview channels.

LlamaDuke · 01/04/2024 19:25

We pay £138 - this includes:
Sky HD
Sky Silver/multiroom
Sky Cinema and Netflix
Disney Plus
Broadband and phone
Sky Sports
It is expensive but Sports costs a lot, and we're getting quite a lot for our money compared to what you have.

fieldsofbutterflies · 01/04/2024 19:28

Some of these prices are crazy.

We pay £36 for BT broadband, £4.99 for Disney+ and Amazon Prime for £8.99.

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 27/03/2024 12:43

We sneekily watch television through our neighbour's window. It's free but we do have to watch what they watch - and they do chose some awful rubbish.

Also, it's not very nice for us stuck outside when it's cold and raining.

😁😁 Love it!

EatCrow · 01/04/2024 19:32

£32.00 for mobile and broadband. I have an Amazon fire stick.

Salmakia · 01/04/2024 19:42

£50 sky TV (we have sports but not cinema)
£26 virgin broadband (but we have an £80 account credit for agreeing a new contract so next 3 months will be £0)
£10.99 netflix
£8.99 prime
£8.99 apple TV
£1.99 Disney plus (we'll cancel this when it goes to full price)
£3.50 Paramount plus (again we'll cancel when this goes to full price)
£0 Discovery plus (this has BT Sports and was free for a year with a phone contract)

Total is £110.46 (although that includes the £26 broadband that we don't pay right now) which admittedly is a lot but we watch premier league football which is sometimes on BT, sometimes Amazon and sometimes sky so resigned to paying a lot for this.

We switch and change providers all the time to get free trials and half price offers. When you get everything as a package from sky you're very rarely getting a good deal.

myusernamewastakenbyme · 01/04/2024 20:03

I pay £30 for broadband and thats it...i also have Disney Plus and Netflix but my adult sons pay for those and share it with me...No way on gods earth would i pay for Sky etc.
