Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
My ds is on different hols to me (at special residential school) so i arranged to go and stay with friends in Weymouth (so far so good) the day after i booked my ticket with the trainline, southwest trains announced they would go on strike.... so i waited till yesterday morning like i was told and then decided to cancel my ticket as no more news on strike being cancelled... i then booked my coach ticket(9 hours with a two hour stop in London) this morning after i sent my train ticket back i looked on SW trains website and read that they strike had been suspended[hmm} The first thing i did was make sure i could still get a refund on ticket i sent back(i can phew) then when i rang to cancel my coach ticket i was seven mins outside the cancellation limit! I started to panic but they have let me cancel it... so i am now awaiting two refunds and have booked myself another train ticket,,, my blood pressure is now skyhigh!! I cant drive... and its really put me off using public transport now!! Lets just hope nothing else happens before Monday!!! I am so so looking forward to a few days away and i know the train will be more comfortable than nine hours on a coach {and the toilets are slightly bigger on the train}

YANBU Lottie. This is exactly why the gov. will never get people out of their cars and onto public transport! I hope you enjoy your break when you finally get there!

YANBU - it's rubbish. We have 2 buses that stop near us. They are different operators but run EXACTLY the same route. If we want somewhere NOT on that route we have to get one bus (or the other) to the nearest precinct and then catch another to where we want to go.
Do we live in Outer Mongolia? Middle of the country?
NO - 1.5 miles outside of farking MANCHESTER - a major sodding city!

As long as the conductor doesn't say the usual, fatuous 'Thank you for travelling SWT' you will be Okay....

Sympathies here ...
