To ask if anyone works for MoJ in project delivery?

I’m about to start a new role in a few weeks in the PMO in the Project Delivery Function at Ministry of Justice. I know all will become clear when I start but I’m still quite unclear on the structure of the teams and what sorts of projects etc.

Does anyone have any experience of working within this directorate in MoJ? Or failing that of just working for MoJ in general and what it’s like?

IME everything takes far too long, the red tape and bureaucracy is unsurpassed, comms are poor and there's little understanding of what's actually needed at operational level, you're also at the ever changing whim of the government. Good luck

Well I should’ve said I’m transferring from another CS department which is probably the worst for this, so am a bit of veteran with the red tape and poor comms.
do you have experience or knowledge of the project delivery function?

I do, extensively, but I can't really give further detail.

@Elmo27 appreciate this is a dead thread now but wondered if you started your role and how it has been? I have an offer and starting to wobble as I near my leaving date for my higher paid commercial job.

What are the progression opportunities? And how is the work load? Thank you
