Perhaps he didn't want to commit to a contract for the next few years.

I wouldn't cast Norton because although he might be a good Bond (I'm not sure if he can do the quips though) , I'd rather he spent his time on better roles.

Callum Turner is a really good shout. Either him or James Norton, or Idris Elba. Or Richard Madden maybe.

Unpopular opinion but I think Idris is pretty mediocre, acting wise!

I agree with PP about Richard Madden.

Hopefully not Idris. I love Idris, I don't want to see him as Bond. As much as I love the Bond films I do think he's a bit of a dick and I don't want to ruin my Idris crush
