Does this look like a veruca?

My 10 year old showed me this on her foot tonight after complaining her foot was sore.

Does this look like a veruca to you?

YANBU - Yes
YABU - No

The skin is also peeling off her big toe.

Could be a corn. A verucca has black dot in the middle

It could be just staring. My GC got relief from the verucca plasters. Banana skins can be used until you get to a chemist.

Yes, it certainly could be a verruca. It could also be a corn. Both can be really painful though so she has my sympathy!

(I’m assuming it’s solid, rather than filled with fluid like a blister?!)

@mamacorn1 Verrucas can have a black dot but they often don’t. They can look quite different on different people, and at different stages. My sister thought she had a corn because there was no black dot and then found out it was actually verruca about six months later when about five more suddenly appeared 😱
