Weird

CantDealwithChristmas · 19/03/2024 14:45

Little bit of column A, little bit of column B.

Like every other human on the planet.

Allmarbleslost · 19/03/2024 14:46

I'm definitely weird (diagnosed autistic). People actively avoid me after they've met me once.

Nots456 · 19/03/2024 14:46

Neither.

RandomUsernameHere · 19/03/2024 14:47

I'm definitely weird, but it's normal to me!

CutthroatDruTheViolent · 19/03/2024 15:18

I think everyone is normal and those that say they're weird are the most vanilla of the bunch.

The reason I ask is Im neurodivergent and I know I’m unusual and always felt like a weirdo but I wanted to know if most people find themselves weird. It’s up to you to decide what ‘normal’ is for yourself.

I was very much aware that I was (considered) weird growing up, but it turns out I'm a totally normal, standard ND person too.

GalileoHumpkins · 19/03/2024 15:22

It depends how you define those things surely? Everyone has quirks, doesn't mean they're 100% weirdo. I'm getting the feeling that I'm weird is the new I'm not like other girls though!

ScrabbleUnoDobble · 19/03/2024 15:25

Bit of both!

woahhhh · 19/03/2024 15:40

I thought I was normal because I thought underneath it all everyone was a bit weird so I was no different. But in recent years I've realised , no. I am weird. People tell me. Usually with love I guess. But still 😵‍💫

hayless · 19/03/2024 15:44

85% of people here think they're 'weird'.

I think THAT is weird. Do you really all feel like you're different to everyone else?

LSTMS30555 · 19/03/2024 15:46

I take medication to be normal 😬😆
However depends who you ask some people probably think I'm normal some people (the ones who know me best) know otherwise

RefreshingCandour · 19/03/2024 15:52

Weird masquerading as normal

Midnightrunners · 19/03/2024 15:52

Normal, like Kanye and Bianca.

Pineapplewaves · 19/03/2024 13:25

Weird - I'm a very quiet, introverted person who just likes to stay at home and live a quiet life - people don't get me and I've been told many times that I'm weird or there's something wrong with me!

That's not weird though. Loads of people are the same!

Vanessasbag · 19/03/2024 16:15

I think I was normal until approximately 15 years ago. Now, I'm not normal. I'm gender critical, I believe in free speech, I don't see being opinionated as a bad thing, I don't virtue-signal, I don't do social media, I don't walk around looking at a device, etc. etc.

ALPHAFEMALESINCEBIRTH · 19/03/2024 16:16

I'm neither
I'm different or proper term is very alternative

my beliefs, lifestyle choices and actions

PlumbersWifey · 19/03/2024 16:17

My autistic & ADHD teen tells me it's blatantly obvious I'm the same as him and he doesn't know how I've got through life without any diognosis as I'm so much weirder than he is 🤣 Nice that I make him feel normal I suppose 🤣

I do in a sense. I wouldn't describe myself as "weird" or "quirky" because it's cringe but I feel different in a lot of ways. I struggle with emotions, I don't really feel like I love anyone apart from DS, I cannot have romantic relationships beyond sex because I just don't ever feel attached to anyone. I don't think it's a good thing and I'm certainly not the only one but I don't think it's particularly usual.

Lilydolly1981 · 19/03/2024 16:27

Always been considered weird. Never had many friends or fit in anywhere. Part of my issue was living with undiagnosed anxiety in my younger days; a time when mental health was less understood or supported. My point being I think some of my 'weirdness' as people called it, was largely my overthinking and subsequent excessive worrying, therefore coming off as weird. I understand how it may have come across though.

Now I don't mind so much, I have my anxiety under some control and embrace my other weird tendencies. I wouldn't be me if I was normal.

shieldmaiden7 · 19/03/2024 16:38

I've always described my self as weird, wonderful and bloody proud of it.

knittingball · 19/03/2024 16:39

Weird but normal to me and very blunt i dont hold back or sugar coat it.

ScaredToGoogleCuckFace · 19/03/2024 16:40

If I was poor I would be weird. As I am rich I am eccentric.

Superscientist · 19/03/2024 16:42

Certifiably not normal but also absolutely bloody boringly normal.
I'm bipolar when manic off the charts weird. When depressed well a void of everything and when normal life has to be "boring" and normal. Early nights low sugar low caffeine low alcohol life.
When manic I believe I can fly and am going to rule the world

CaveMum · 19/03/2024 16:43

No such thing as "normal" my dear!
