Child benefit

Hi. Probably not in the right place here but I've just applied for child benefit. In everyone's experience how long do you normally wait before receiving it? Thanks

I applied for the first time 8 weeks ago, called them last week as hadn't heard anything and there has been an error. Only one kid was applied for, other kid disappeared. No payment, application was missing. So now waiting for a response. I think I read somewhere 6 weeks max.
