To think that if you blow your nose into napkins, you shouldn’t leave them for staff?

As the title suggests, really.

Having breakfast in a cafe earlier and a man at a nearby table clearly has a heavy cold and spent a lot of time blowing his nose voraciously into many paper napkins (there was a stack of them along with cutlery in a little holder on each table).

He finished his breakfast, then piled the plate high with this snotty rags for the staff to deal with.

AIBU or is that. It disgusting, and really unfair on staff? If I’ve ever had to blow my nose in a similar situation, I put the napkin into my pocket and dispose of it myself.

That's disgusting! He should have taken them to the bin.

It’s disgusting and shouldn’t happen, but having owned a coffee shop I can only say that lots of people do it and clearly don’t see a distinction between snotrags and napkins used normally.

We were usually just grateful that they were placed on the plate instead of left on the table, seats or floor to pick up. People are often pigs when someone else is going to be cleaning up, sadly.
