Yeah fair comment, I was meaning it as a general comment on human nature. I still think it’s a bit pathetic all the hounding and speculation about the RF. They really should have just kept quiet and not released a photo at all rather than give in to it, I expect they’re realising that now with hindsight.

And even if this isn't the most sensible thing to do, it's more than understandable that the William and Catherine make mistakes with all the horrible pressure from the online mob. Considering the vicious wolves and silly sheep who are bullying the Wales family online, and who go nuts about any perceived sign that something very bad is being covered up, it's only understandable to take a wrong decision. This family must be so stressed and worried.

My thoughts reading this exactly. Collective punishment of a civilian population but let's all focus on this bullshit instead

This is possibly the stupidest thing they could have done. I'm really confused. They have a PR team. How could this happen? To be clear I'm not suggesting that anything sinister is happening that they are trying to cover up - but to not realise the scrutiny such a photo would attract and the likely reaction to the obvious edits... It's just utterly bizarre. Surely it can't be deliberate? So weird.
