Vinted or eBay?

Not really an AIBU, but I’m moving house tomorrow and over the next few weeks I want to get rid of a few bits and pieces (no chance to do it before the move because work has been manic). I’m mainly looking to sell clothes, a few accessories a bit of a bric a brac (table lamps, cushions, that type of things.)

I’ve used eBay in the past and it’s been relatively smooth, but I’m wondering whether Vinted might be a better bet for the clothing and accessories. I know lots of people who use it - I’ve looked a few times but never purchased - is it quite straightforward from a seller’s perspective, or better to stick to what I know and just use eBay? (And wait for a fee-free selling promotion!) Cheers.

Vinted is very straight-forward for the seller, but prices tend to run lower than one Ebay. When you upload on Vinted and put a price, Vinted will suggest a (lower, often by a lot) price to you - ignore that. You need to set the posting options on your account before uploading anything, or a buyer could pick a shipping option that's not really available near you.

I find Vinted much easier in terms of the seller buys the postage and all you have to do is print label or scan a qr code at drop off. You might not make as much money though. I’ve not had any problems so far, but have read online their support isn’t great if someone claims they’ve not received an item.
