Argument over Ryanair baggage

We’re going away for 5 nights. I can’t see how I’ll feel comfortable trying to put everything into one small case. DP is a skinflint and thinks all you need to take is a pair of pants and your passport.
Ryanair don’t seem to let you get one 20 kg bag for one of the passengers only. I’ve suggested we book our flights separately but partner worried if we do that there’ll be a cock up in the booking process.
What shall I do? Any easy way for me to get my 20 kg bag?

As others have said, you can add one bag later. This is a really good bag for the included small hand luggage - it’s the exact dimensions they allow and you can actually fit a lot more in than you’d think.
