This video seems to be doing the rounds atm - anyone seen it?

I hope it’s fake but if not, how utterly ridiculous and good on the woman for filming and publicly humiliating her partner.

She’s way too late. Was she forced to breed with this loser, or did she choose him herself?

This . There was no way he woke up and decided to be like this. She knew and chose to have a baby with him. Well at least she didn't take his nonsense.

Jk8 · 09/03/2024 18:12

🫣 isnt the whole point of a roast that you just put everything in the oven - no pots/pans/3 course delicacies/100 different tempetured sides.... 🫣 a Sunday roast is litterally timed to be ready to cook & serve before & after Sunday church services 🫣

Fake or not, there are unfortunately women who do go through this.

Yes it happened to me. First baby. Long labour. Ventouse. PPH and no sleep in hospital. Day of discharge. ‘’What’s for tea?’In no state to challenge at the time, but he doesn’t get away with that crap anymore.

These people are among us. My very own MiL appeared the day after I gave birth with a bag of muddy rhubarb (I loathe rhubarb smell and taste) and the suggestion:
"I thought you could make DH a nice rhubarb crumble, he likes a rhubarb crumble".
She's fortunate I didn't insert the rhubarb somewhere. DH put it in the bin.

Yes, it's one of the most simple dinners you can cook for your wife when she's just had a baby 👍

LakeTiticaca · 09/03/2024 18:19

Good job she doesn't live in a country where the women, out working in the fields, squat down and give birth, strap the baby on their back and carry on working 😉

On the other hand, has she not heard of the words no, you do it you lazy arse 😅

Well I suppose you could do it that way. I never do though as I get carried away as I like to have all the "extras" such as yorkies, leeks in cheese sauce, cauliflower cheese, pigs in blankets, steamed AND roast veg. Which takes 2 hours with quite a lot of it stood up. But then we have leftovers for at least 2 more meals and I don't do it that often really anymore.

BrothersAndSisters · 09/03/2024 19:00

The video seems set up to me, although we all know there are plenty if shit men out there. Some even expect sex straight away after a woman gives birth so nothing surprises me. 😔

mitogoshi · 09/03/2024 17:10

It's fake but I personally don't see the issue with cooking 2 days postpartum- no way would I let exh near the kitchen to burn food! I made dinner the day after I gave birth and made him look after the dc.

🥇

Scaffoldingisugly · 09/03/2024 19:08

Under the control of my now exh I came home from having ds and made a full on roast dinner.. While the fucking ils sat holding the new baby. I remember standing there crying and nobody even noticed..
Can't imagine how I ended up with ptsd...

JustBloodyWellSayNo · 09/03/2024 16:22

If that's real, didn't she know what a useless piece of shit he was before? I hope she's got a mum/sister/friend who can help her with her new baby

Didn’t take you long to blame her did it?

Helfs · 09/03/2024 19:20

phoenixrosehere · 09/03/2024 16:28

The comments from people agreeing with him are ridiculous, the worse from actual mums. Never ceases to annoy me when women like that assume because they had it easy, it’s the norm. It is said by medical professionals, that the first 28 days after a woman gives birth are the most dangerous for her and her baby or babies.

This is factually incorrect

The 28 days is due to that’s when it’s classified as neonatal death

its not more ‘risky’ for healthy babies and mothers in those first few weeks

Containerhome · 09/03/2024 19:24

After my 3rd I had a home birth and guests turned up the next day 'to see the baby' my husband was out buying groceries and they just turned up. Expected food. Wouldn't leave. I ended up cooking to shut them up. They had actually turned up because they wanted me to do some.work for them. I had to call my husband to come home and get rid of them.

I'm still bitter about it 7 years later. Some people are just arses.

This is so obviously fake! I’m so bored of people playing out mini pretend soap operas online and surprised by how many people think they’re genuine.

Since you are nitpicking I'm going to nitpick you. A maternal death is any that occurs within 12 months of giving birth. And most occur or appear within that first twenty eight days. There is a reason its called recovery.

Huh? I was responding to someone claiming it’s risky for mothers and babies in those 28 days.

also you are factually incorrect. 25% of all deaths in the first 12 months for a mother are in the first 8-42 days. Dimwit

Most of this stuff is faked for engagement.

Although for the record I did Christmas lunch for 6 people a week after given birth. What's she complaining about?

gold medal for you, you’ve won at life. Well done. 2 days after birth I was struggling to get feeding right with a baby that didn’t settle and had tongue tie, the extent of my cooking was toast. This video fake or not, it’s the fact that he’s invited his family around and they expect a roast and to be hosted and despite it being his family, he seems to think it’s his partner’s responsibility to host them when he if perfectly able to do it himself. There’s countless very similar posts all over this site. Even if this specific vid is fake, the scenario is all too real

most people don’t want visitors the first few fuss after birth, let alone to play hostess.

Packingcubesqueen · 09/03/2024 20:06

It’s fake but I bet this happens a lot. Mums are often expected to host family when they’ve just given birth.

AngelQuartz · 09/03/2024 20:06

I’ve seen better acting at a kids concert.

F to the A to the K to the E and points off for misusing the word 'gaslighting'.
