Heart rate app?

I have felt a bit funny today after starting a new medication
earlier today my heart rate was steadily between 71-75

this evening i have readings from 114 to 60 sometimes a minute apart. Should I be worried ? Or am I using the heart rate app too much?

How is your phone measuring your heart rate, do you mean you have an Apple Watch or similar which you can look at results on your phone.

No it's an app where you put your fingers over your flash. It's very unreliable!

The normal heart rate for an adult AT REST - ie lying down for ten mins is anywhere from 60 - 100.

There really isn't a condition called, "irregular heart rate" there are conditions that cause it to be irregular, but again that is at rest.

Just take your pulse.

Maybe see your GP for your anxiety. Your pulse is completely normal. Pulse rate alone doesn't tell you anything unless it's massively high at rest or very low.
This is my pulse today. I'm not about to drop dead and is a perfectly normal variation.
Please get help because the only thing that's not normal here is obsessing over your pulse.

Similarly here's mine, I'm not about to drop dead either.

I have SVT and Long QT so my heart often spikes at rest (see image) and you learn to just get on with it.

A heart rate of 114 is childsplay really, it's a very normal heart rate especially if not resting!

As others have said HR has spikes of highs throughout the day depending on activities, stress, rushing around, drinking strong coffees, that kind of thing.

Your HR is fine. I have Afib so believe me - that is arrythmia, diagnosed via many hospital tests, not a phone app!

Even though I have this and have a HR monitor on the smart watch, I rarely check it. I know myself if things are going fast, (180-220 at rest is not unusual for me), and if it lasts then I'll check and keep an eye on it and watch for other symptoms. Otherwise I just get on with it.

This is mine, I wear a fitness band as a watch. The total dip is where I took it off because it was wet from my shower. The spike at 10 was when I took my ADHD medication, which does affect heart rate. All normal and not a concern.

Def talk to your doctor if concerned about any side effects of your medication. They should be able to reassure you or investigate as needed.

An irregular pulse is one where the rhythm is not even.

It is normal for your pulse rate to change from minute to minute.

You seem to need help with health anxiety.
