To buy flowers for teacher at parents evening

We have parents evening and I thought I would buy each of my DCs teacher a bunch of flowers. Just to say I appreciate all that they do, nothing fancy. Is it weird, will it look like I'm trying to get brownie points?

Bad idea to do it on parents' evening. Great idea to send something in for the individual teachers you'd like to show appreciation to at the end of term or something nice for all teachers in the staff room.

I'm so confused by post like this. Who would even know if she gave flowers to the teacher?!

Do you think the school will be empty apart from the OP and the teacher? There will be other parents coming and going.

Not at all. It could be like the school where I work, where parents queue and wait in the hall but have their actual meeting in the classroom. So nobody else would know. Especially if the flowers were in a bag etc

If they are in the hall, pop them in a Sainsbury's bag etc and be subtle about handing them over.

So I didn't give flowers. Both DC had great feedback and I thanked the teachers for everything they are doing. Just to clarify it's - primary school, KS1 and parents evening is held in the classroom. I was planning on a small bunch of Tuplips or similar that I would have had in a bag, nothing over extravagant. I will send some chocolates in for Easter. I took all the feedback on board. My intention was to simply show I appreciated them however I certainly didn't want them to feel uncomfortable so decided against it.

Good decision OP! & lovely to send in chocolate - that will go down well.
