Has anyone tried these? I'm interested in them as an alternative to booze but on Amazon you can only buy them in large quantities and not sure if I'll like them.

The Trip ones seem quite popular. Do they give you the same sort of buzz?

I couldn’t tell a difference but maybe I didn’t drink enough. You can pick up cans in supermarkets now and I’ve seen them in boots etc

TeaKitten · 27/02/2024 20:17

You can buy them individually in places like Asda

I tried the Trip ones a few times and they just made me tired and sleepy! I wonder if CBD oil in a flavoured drink might be a cheaper option if you wanted to try it?

Creatureofhabit87 · 27/02/2024 20:19

I find they do nothing! My husband likes them. They sell them in Waitrose. I just got him a 6 pack of the TRIP ones for £8.50 x

Snugmummy · 27/02/2024 20:19

I usually have trip in the fridge for my no alcohol days. Tbh you’d have to drink an awful lot of it to get any kind of buzz, but I really like the flavours so I still buy it. The lemon & basil is amazing and my husband likes the ginger one. We bought them as an alcohol replacement but actually just drink them because we like them as a soft drink. I’ve yet to find any decent alternatives to alcohol.

Snugmummy · 27/02/2024 20:21

Just to add, I also bought the trip oil to use when feeling stressed and it’s a little like rescue remedy if you’ve ever had that. Not sure how effective it is or whether it’s just a placebo effect. Nice enough taste though.

I really enjoy them often have one rather than a glass of wine. Not sure they do anything for me dh convinced they help him sleep
Asda often stock trip so it's a easy way to try them

meatpie22 · 27/02/2024 20:34

I'll try Asda. I'm not paying £20 for a case of them if they don't do anything 🙈

They don't do anything

ComtesseDeSpair · 27/02/2024 20:37

They don’t contain enough of any active ingredient to have any effect. They’re fairly tasty but ultimately just expensive flavoured carbonated water.

nimski · 27/02/2024 22:26

I drink them occasionally, I had 3 once and felt a bit odd! I do find they relax me slightly but that could just be in my head!

Coffeeisnecessary · 27/02/2024 22:28

I think they are £5.50 for a 4 pack in sainsburys. Like pp I like the flavours and felt relaxed but could just be placebo.

LastRites · 27/02/2024 22:33

I love the Trip ones although the mint one tastes like toothpaste. We usually have a pack of 4 or so in our fridge for during the week when we don’t drink. The lemon& basil ones are lovely and refreshing and the peach & ginger have a nice heat to them. I honestly don’t feel any different after drinking them but they’re a more adult version of a soft drink for those of us who don’t like sweet sugary drinks!

RonnieMcdonnie · 27/02/2024 22:36

They taste quite nice but I didn’t feel any effect, overpriced and I probably wouldn’t buy again.
