And that's from a cheap shop! I think because I've not had to buy it in a while, I didn't notice the exorbitant price rise.

I'm not blind to the cost of living crisis, dealing with it everyday like we all are. However, this truly caught me off guard.

Do you still have any moments where you are amazed at the price rises? Or maybe some nice surprises when things have stayed the same or become cheaper?

Is that for a giant pot? That seems extortionate. I haven't bought it in a couple of years either

Me and DH were on about this the other day. We buy it for our children. 4 months ago I paid £4.50 for the largest tub they do 400g. Shocking how much it's gone up!

Crunchymum · 27/02/2024 14:08

Funnily enough I looked at a tub today - £9.50 in Sainsbury's

Won't be getting another tub of it in this house.

£7 for marmite. It was at this point I realised I loved it so much that I would pay pretty much any price for it!

Hoxite274764 · 27/02/2024 14:13

wow that is expensive. I usually always buy the cheap off brand stuff.

Toothpaste. In Tesco Extra a tube of Colgate was over a fiver. I was like, what?!

My friend tells me that Plenty kitchen roll has more than doubled in price. Think it's a tenner now for four rolls.

It's not just sudocream , but every ' over the counter ' type medication or creams have all jumped up in price lately.

I buy Colgate for 99p in Tesco

It's good stuff. Well worth the price

NotARealWookiie · 27/02/2024 14:24

It’s £9 locally for bepanthen too. A large tube but still.

Hawdyerwheesht · 27/02/2024 14:46

Yeah it was the 400g tub. Should have said that in OP, sorry!

Not surprised to hear this at all unfortunately, I use epaderm cream and ointment and it's now £12+ for 500g tub/pumps of the stuff. It's the best I've found for dealing with my skin issues though so I feel I have no choice but to pay that for it.

Spaghettihoops1 · 14/05/2024 19:08

I have just cried buying a 175g tub of sudocrem for £5.65, how the bloody Nora can it be that expensive
