Amazing just that really posting here for traffic. He's 97 and still going strong he's truly an inspiration.

Hello! Thinking of getting a rocking chair for when our next baby arrives. Has anyone had any experience of either the Tutti Bambini Noah rocking chair or the Obaby round back rocking chair? I can’t find either of them in any shops to try out!

Ladybyrd · 26/02/2024 05:22

He looks like he's struggling to me. Voice wise, faculty wise, he seems fine, but in the last programme I saw he seemed to be doing quite a bit of standing around and he seemed to be in pain.

Treehuggingmutherfunkin · 26/02/2024 05:25

I love him would love to meet him only celeb I would fan girl over

Crikey some of these messages! The Mumsnet naysayers are out in force. Ignore them. YANBU OP. He's always been fab - and still working at 97 to educate the masses is in my book frankly inspirational, good genes or not.

I certainly imagine he is. I've 44 and have aches and pains. If I make it to 97 I don't imagine I'll be standing at all!

Ladybyrd · 26/02/2024 07:24

@liveforsummer I just thought give that poor guy a chair, but in reality, I don't think he'd let them. He was still crawling around in the undergrowth too.

liveforsummer · 26/02/2024 07:28

@Ladybyrd I remember my grandad in his early 90's coming to my house for a visit and refusing to sit down as the chairs were too low. He was too proud/stubborn to allow or ask for help to get back up. Certainly wouldn't have been crawling about though. That's exceptional whatever mumsnet say about his age being irrelevant

And? That's not inspirational it's just what he has chosen to do. Lots of people don't aspire to work to 97.

Ha ha you are the voice in my head of things I daren’t say out loud.

@Mummyclairey1984 You need to start a new thread for this.

Such an inspiration and yes that includes his age he’s 3 years away from 100 ffs. He is still as passionate about the natural world, he is still using his incredible influence to try and make a difference. He’s bloody brilliant. OP ignore the idiots
