Did a top up shop earlier, just of the bits we’ve run out of.

Two tubs of cream cheese
Veggie meatballs
Oat milk
Reduced loaf of bread
3 x Passata
2 x yoghurt tubs
6 apples
Margarine
4 x toilet rolls
Sink unblocker

One of the big four supermarkets. How much do you think it would cost? I was really surprised.

I’ll update with the cost soon

I was going to say £30-35. Sink unblocker is expensive, and toilet rolls have gone right up in price.

Veggie meatballs? Does anyone see something wrong with that sentence?

it really depends on what brands you were going for. Anywhere between £25 and £50

Meatballs with hidden veg?

Topofthemountain · 25/02/2024 16:08

When I started uni many moons ago my Mum told to average a £1 an item to give you a rough idea.

I would now work on £2 an item so for 14, it would be £28, so £30 isn't too far out of that (especially with the sink unblocker)

DinoMummsy · 25/02/2024 16:11

£18?

goingtotown · 25/02/2024 16:19

Between £18 & £35 depending on size & brand.

Dacadactyl · 25/02/2024 16:20

I thought 30 quid.

Hiddenmnetter · 25/02/2024 16:21

£30 also

tinytemper66 · 25/02/2024 16:22

Around £25?

PrincessHoneysuckle · 25/02/2024 16:30

£18

whenemmafallsinlove · 25/02/2024 17:02

My guess was 29

Ilovemyshed · 25/02/2024 17:36

£25

JustWhatWeDontNeed · 25/02/2024 17:38

I was gonna say £38.

Meatballs with hidden veg?

I have Linda McCartney Swedish meatballs in my shopping delivery tonight, do assume something similar. They are nice.

ErinAoife · 25/02/2024 18:19

35

NoddyAndHisCar · 25/02/2024 18:20

I’ve seen your answer but I’d address it up to £37 in my head.

cherish123 · 25/02/2024 18:20

£35

I can't guess; I don't buy artificial man-made food like marg & "meat"balls.

Don't buy sink unblocker, soda crystals do the job very cheaply. Better still, don't let the sink get blocked. Get one of the things with tiny holes to cover the outlet, & don't put any food, or especially fat, waste down the plughole.

The “holier-than-thou”ness is absolutely dripping out of this post. It’s not that they thought “meh don’t eat this can’t guess”, they had to post to specifically point out the rubbishness of OP’s food choices! Brilliant

Thank you for this and thanks also to @Ilovemyshed! Love to see people defending others and it can be rare on here. We all know there’s always one 😂

🤣 luckily for you, marg and veggie meatballs are favourites in our house!! Just love the stuff. You don’t know what you’re missing.

A vegetarian version of meatballs. Nothing wrong with it all all. You on the other hand...
