Hen Do sharing rooms

I'm going on a hen do this weekend and one of my friends has been told she's sharing a room with someone she doesn't know, this would be fine however we've just found out it's double beds, how would other people feel about this, would you be comfortable?

I shared a double bed on my own hen do with my best friend and that was weird enough! No way would I share a bed with someone I didn't know.

BarelyLiterate · 23/02/2024 20:46

No chance. Unless in an emergency, the only person I share a room with is DP. I would happily pay for my own room, or not go.

Glitterblue · 23/02/2024 20:47

i wouldn’t do it. I wouldn’t even like to share a room with someone other than DH or DC, let alone a bed.

redalex261 · 23/02/2024 20:47

share a room - ok on hen night; but not double bed with a stranger!

Mikkismum · 23/02/2024 20:48

No from me too - room share ok, but bed share a step too far.

Broodywuz · 23/02/2024 20:48

That's definitely not acceptable, how awkward for both of them. I don't think I would go if I had to share a room with someone I didn't know, definitely not share a bed!

Funkyslippers · 23/02/2024 20:48

No way!

Pinkl · 23/02/2024 20:49

I wouldn’t even want to roomshare let alone bed share!

bryceQ · 23/02/2024 20:49

No way would I want to do

BoobyDazzler · 23/02/2024 20:49

Friends, no problem. Strangers… absolutely no way.

mynewusername2023 · 23/02/2024 20:50

I shared a king size bed with my bridesmaid on my hen do and have since twice shared a bed with her but she's one of my best friends.

No way would I share a room with someone I don't know, let alone a bed.

pontipinemum · 23/02/2024 20:51

Nope no, no! I also would share a room with a stranger on a hen but not a bed.

Last hen I went to I arrived in my room first and bagged the single bed, the 2 others have been best friends since nursery and seemed a bit uncomfortable about having to share

Rocknrolla21 · 23/02/2024 20:51

Not a fucking chance. And that’s me just sharing an actual room with anyone including my best friend. Let alone a bed with a total stranger.

Olika · 23/02/2024 20:52

With a stranger absolutely not.

Cozytoesandtoast00 · 23/02/2024 20:53

You could accidentally touch bums in the night. Awkward.

Genuinelyenquiring · 23/02/2024 20:53

This really wouldn't bother me at all but I seem to be in the minority.

Haggisfish3 · 23/02/2024 20:54

It wouldn’t bother me either tbh.

FrenchandSaunders · 23/02/2024 20:54

Surely you’ll all pissed so who cares?

ThePerfectDog · 23/02/2024 20:55

I’d take an air bed or sleep on the sofa

Haggisfish3 · 23/02/2024 20:55

@Genuinelyenquiring fancy a night away?! 🤣

Morningtimeride · 23/02/2024 20:56

Absolutely not. I wouldn't even share a twin room with a stranger.

CandyflossKid · 23/02/2024 20:56

Nope - would hate the thought of that!

Mum2jenny · 23/02/2024 20:58

Just no to sharing a bed, a room if necessary. But I’d prefer to pay more and get my own room.

Ifailed · 23/02/2024 20:59

it's not just sharing the bed, it's the bathroom as well.
Absolute no.

eatdrinkandbemerry · 23/02/2024 20:59

Wouldn't bother me at all 🤷‍♀️
