Idling Open Reach van

WIBU to go outside and tell the Open Reach van that has been idling outside my house for an hour, to turn the bloody engine off if she has to be there. The fumes, the noise, ugh.

Of course you can politely ask and I am sure they will comply if they can.

But it may not be left idling for no reason. It is possible that it is running a generator.

According to Rule 123 of The Highway Code, drivers must not leave a parked vehicle unattended with the engine running or leave a vehicle engine running unnecessarily while the vehicle is stationary on a public road.
