To think this is fantastic, of course. Now can we sort out women’s rights wrt women’s spaces, and stop this 1%Of women have penises nonsense?

Respect biological women’s spaces or be sued, that kind of thing?

Why not focus your energy on actual issues.

Here we go again with the trans bashing 🙄

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 22/02/2024 13:21

*Oh so it is a way to shoehorn a dig about trans people into an unrelated topic.

Well I'm glad you can be honest about it, unlike the OP.*

Whether it is or it isn't, if the OP winds people up so much with their supposed 'agenda' why do they react so much?

As an aside, yes there are a tiny minority of people who aren't biologically female who do insist they are included in menopause policies, changing language etc. It's not a new thing. This tiny minority appear to be calling the shots on a lot of things, to the detriment of women. But that's not important.

I am very honest. I do not want any males in female safe spaces, or indeed in any female spaces. I am using ‘spaces’ as shorthand for all female areas of life where males do not belong. I do not want women’s hard fought rights diluted. And they are being. And it is getting worse.

Nope. If you care to, please read all of my posts. Again not trans anything. Women’s everything.

Do you have to shoehorn your opinion about trans people into every subject you talk about?

This! FFS it's ridiculous.
It's great news for us menopausal women, but YABU for stated above

Forgottenlily · 22/02/2024 14:51

I don’t understand how some women aren’t worried about this at all.

I don’t understand how some women aren’t worried about this at all.

It's not a matter of 'not worried at all', it's more 'less worried about it than about the dozens of huge issues affecting women under this government every single day'.

I'm worried about the way some GC women seem perfectly happy to throw women under the bus because they can't see beyond all things trans.

As I said above, which is conveniently ignored.

My issue is and always has been about women’s rights. Not trans this or trans that, as some people like to twist it.

I suppose it does suit some peoples’ agenda. To continuously go on about trans this trans that, when women are in fact talking about women’s rights.

Essentially anyone who does not oppose men in women’s spaces is throwing women and girls under the bus.

I have to say for a group of people who insist that people with penises shouldn't be the centre of women's rights issues you seem to really like making penis havers experiencing gender dysphoria centre of all discussion about women's rights issues despite them being a tiny minority 😬

JobsLot · 22/02/2024 16:11

I think we need to be as utterly foul and aggressive as the TRAs are regarding our sex based rights. Yell, shout, threaten death and destructive, sue, whatever it takes. Men only understand aggression and dominance. We have to defend our spaces by force if necessary. No more nice gals. Kick them where it hurts - wallet and balls.

Universalsnail · 22/02/2024 16:28

LibbyLemoncake · 22/02/2024 13:18

‘People with penises’ and ‘Penis havers’ 😆🤣😂 FFS.

I used these phrases because the OP referred to "women with penises nonsense" highlighting the penis issue and wanted to highlight the absurdity of centering someones penis everytime we talk about womens rights.

She was drawing attention to the person having a penis as an important point so I did the same, I'd usually just say natal male or if I am talking to someone who won't have a reasonable discussion if you use phrases like that then I'll say amab, because I finding the subject incredibly nuance and you can generally talk about it rationally if you are respectful to peoples preferred language choices and you don't get anywhere in a conversation if you instantly make it hostile with language choice.

Ah the good old, women has a different opinion so must be a man argument.

No I am a women, born a women, with a vagina, and one with a far more nuanced opinion on this subject then you assume, i just dont think it needs to be shoehorned into every single discussion about a womens issue ever. I'd like to be able to talk about menopause, or child birth, or maternal rights, or workplace discrimination with out having trans rights taking centre stage in the discussion because someone has made how angry they are that a tiny percent of the population have gender dysphoria, their whole identity and can't talk about anything else. It's tedious AF.

Correct of course I should have used quotation marks ‘women with penises’. But you know it is not my figure of speech or belief (nor is it most women’s). I would say men. And I would say women. Hence the ‘nonsense’.

As you are so keen to refer to the trans debate - I would say trans men and trans women.

Although I am actually talking only about women and women’s rights.

But this is just you using semantics to cloud the issue. Again.

😂🙈 where is your reading comprehension seriously now?

‘because someone has made how angry they are that a tiny percent of the population have gender dysphoria, their whole identity and can't talk about anything else’

I am talking about women and women’s rights. Keeping men out of women’s spaces (spaces as defined earlier). The fact you keep bringing up trans people is bizarre, frankly.
