Not aibu just intrigued. This thread was done on here ages ago and it was so fun. I have two:

Pasta is gross, I'll eat it but its not delicious as people make it out to be its cold slimy dough.

I'm sure she's nice but Beyonce is overrated.

Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom is absolutely horrible, middle class shite. The characters are irritating, it's classist, and jokes intended for parents are just a sign of treating children with disrespect

Prosecco is an awful drink and bottomless brunch is totally over rated waste of money

Jelly and angel delight are gross
Coffee also isn't very nice

It is a cardinal sin to make plans that interfere with Friday night hygge in this house. On the day that DM will happily babysit. In London. Where there are a million things I’d prefer to do over sitting on the sofa.

Why can’t you stand it if some people choose not to eat meat/fish/dairy products? Would it help if vegans and vegetarians lied to you by pretending they ate them?

Brown pasta is better than white, holds it form, better texture, and doesn’t go mushy.

Chocolate is highly overrated and vanilla is very underrated, except for vanilla-scented candles which are definitely meh.

These threads never stay lighthearted.

I don’t like white pasta but brown is even worse. The different between white card and recycled.

My husband’s: adding truffle is adding essence of cheesy feet to your food.

Oh god I am so with you. The colour and oh my the SMELL.......I dont just dislike it I am actively scared of the stuff and cant be in the room if its being used meaning I need to eat separately to my DC quite a lot (as obviously she bloody loves it).

I don’t care whether people post on instagram, wear lots of make up, show off designer purchases, get fillers/botox/cosmetic surgery, or whether they don’t do any or all of the above. For transparency, I do some of those things and not others.

I don’t think doing/not doing any of those things makes someone inherently superior. Do what makes you happy and let other people do the same.

The most class anxiety I see on here is from those absolutely determined to not be seen as middle class.

That Jetwing bathroom has a blind that you can pull down - thank goodness! You can see it in the photo from inside the bathroom. I stayed in a similar one in Thailand - must be a design concept used in hotels. Why???

If I remember the name of the Lisbon hotel I'll get back to you! But it was a lovely family-run place with complimentary port and those little custard pastry things every afternoon, and great staff, so don't wanna bad mouth them!

It was near the ferry terminal, if that's any help!

Looking after children is really boring

Roast potatoes are horrible and Queen were/are overrated.

The healthiness of vegetarian and vegan diets is overrated. Case in point South Asian countries with veggie diets and no alcohol who have a lower age of death and greater propensity for bone disease, heart disease, diabetes etc than Mediterranean and some East Asian populations who eat meat/fish/alcohol in moderation.

Both Beyonce and Michelle Obama are overrated and definitely not 'Queens' or whatever perjorative adjectives people use to describe powerful women.

Plenty of women blame the patriarchy for their own mediocrity , instead of just accepting that even if the world was run by women they'd still achieve the same results.

I do not enjoy cheese wine or coffee. All taste repulsive to me.

Houseguests are an abomination. Having to be one or having to have them. Bonus points if family is involved.

In the 6th form, people spend hours researching which university they want to go to. In university, people spend hours researching which career they want. While at work, people spend hours researching which pension plan they want. People spend their whole lives researching and planning the next phases of their existence. But how many actually spend more than five minutes researching what will happen after they die? IME, most people spit on their finger, hope it will all be okay because they've led a 'good' life, or they accept the opinion of someone who has long ago poo poohed the thought of life after death.....

@Thementalloadisreal Completely agree. I've never got the fuss about Elvis Presley. The most overrated singer there has ever been. People only like him because they think they're supposed to.

@Talkamongstyourselves I am the biggest Queen fan in the world, but I only like their lesser known songs. Almost all the 'hits' are terrible, and it makes me really annoyed that those are the only ones you hear. So I kind of agree with you 😅
