Where do Ocado actually deliver?

I used to live in Newcastle and Ocado didn't deliver there, fine. Now I live in central Bristol (near Clifton) and they still don't deliver to my postcode.

AIBU to wonder where they actually deliver and how everyone online seems to rave about Ocado?

I just typed my postcode (it's a BS8 one) into the delivery thing and it says we don't deliver there!

I don't think they publish a map; it has to be by postcode finder

And of course that makes it rather difficult to know if they're not there generally, or if they've shunned your postcode for other reasons

I tried that it says not delivering due to some website changes and to fill in a get in touch form and someone will contact you, did you get that message?

They deliver to Torbay in Devon.

No, it just says we'll be with you soon and "we don't deliver to your area just yet" or something like that - the standard message I think if they don't deliver there.

Weird! I am BS8 and just checked, can get a delivery even for tomorrow if I want. Maybe you are up a steep hill? Who knows..

Definitely deliver to student digs up big hills in Bath!
Works out cheaper than most others as well with the offers. I treat dd once a month.

They deliver to the sticks in east Sussex - down a farm lane.

Ok, problem solved, I created an account using my postcode and it does seem to offer me delivery slots! The delivery checker must be broken 😅

Ocado service your/my (Bath) area from 2 depots (which I thought were Portishead and Yeovil).

They have been rolling out a second app (which is the default for my collections, but not for other addresses I've used for deliveries).

Yes. I'm in South Somerset, my delivery comes from Bristol. I had to change to "Ocado Exeter" app a year or two ago. Perhaps now renamed to South West.

We have regular Ocado deliveries here in east Manchester... I love that when I order from there, things actually arrive (Asda, on the other hand, is like a wish list and a heap of random stuff arrives instead lol).

I used to work for them. They do deliver to Bristol it’s just Bristol depot use a different system to Newcastle depots.

I've been an Ocado customer on and off for 15 years, currently on the "new" website and app. I've been trying to get onto the "old" system, without success, to order for a forthcoming holiday.

The only workaround that Ocado can suggest is to register as a new customer, at that address (so I've a free smartpass there for 3 months and £25 off my first order.

Just in case anybody else is struggling with holiday catering/buying for another address.
