Gin as cologne?

I have a bottle of Adnams Copper House gin. It smells absolutely heavenly. More like cologne than gin. Every time I open it I imagine myself dabbing it on my neck. Would that be a bonkers thing to do? Or would I end up smelling like a gin-raddled lush?

Try Penhaligons gin scents?

The sugar would make it feel sticky and you might attract flies

WTF?! 😆 Most batshit thing I have read on here this week!

Try explaining that one, if the police pulled you over.

I don’t think that would work. Stuff dries out on your skin and interacts with it. Some of the molecules that make it smell so good would evaporate.

It’s a bit like, I love the fragrance in the house when we brew fresh coffee, but I wouldn’t expect to smell like that if I just dabbed actual droplets of coffee on my skin and let it dry down. I’d expect to smell a bit stale, like a kitchen where the counters weren’t wiped.

Can't. Allergic. No real perfume for me Sad

Just drink it, OP. Neat, like the old days. Neck it from the bottle and be damned if you dribble some on your top. You’ll smell tantalising😀

Aparecium · 18/02/2024 12:14

😆
It smells nicer than it tastes.

No, don't do this.

I work with the public and if I smell alcohol on someone at 9am, I do judge them 😬🤣

Lampslights · 18/02/2024 12:14

You’d smell like an alkie, don’t do it. It really doesn’t smell like cologne.

Staringatthemoon · 18/02/2024 18:43

@AnnieBuddyHere surely it depends on the brand😉
