Posting here for traffic, but I need help.

Older lady, post menopause.

I'm very overweight, I need to change and lose weight, get fitter or I'm going to die, it's a fact.

I need to lose five stone.

Things I like

Walking
Cycling

Neither of which I can do a lot of currently, because I'm unfit.

Things I don't like

Swimming
Gym

I eat too much of the wrong stuff
I drink too much

So, you don't virus things to do, cut down drinking, snacking etc.

I need a plan, calorie count? Follow diabetic diet? Weight watchers? Slimming world?

DH, is full on joining me.

Can anyone give me advice please?

Thank you 🙏

I am nearly 50 and was five stone overweight. Very active, dieting wasn’t working. I have forked out for Wegovy and it has been so much easier. I have lost two stone in 2.5 months and am still losing weight. I have no doubt I will get to my goal now. Literally nothing else worked.

I am at same stage of life as you and have lost 24lbs in 11 months. I just upped walking at lunchtime to 4 x 30 minute sessions a week and became more conscious of what I put in my mouth but continued eating normal main meals.

I have now realised how much of a comfort snacker I was!

This programme is amazing! I’ve lost several kgs but it’s aimed at being a long term lifestyle change rather than quick fix weight loss.
aimed at women predominantly over 40
Provides a delicious selection of recipes to choose from, encourages you to plan your meals using these and to get moving more. There’s Facebook group for support, encouragement & accountability.

I think this totally depends on an individual and their lifestyle. I know someone do real well with SW and another struggle
with SW but do well with calories counting.

I would say if you eat in large volumes that SW or weight watchers is a go good start as there are free foods . If you get organised then at least you can eat if you are hungry . Pinch of nom books are great.
