When we used to fly long haul regularly one of our rules was no seafood or hot curries 48 hours before travelling!

@chatenoire the bag is nice, love the colour. I've a similarly coloured pair of sandals I bought in Spain last summer, and I love them. Wouldn't match the style of this bag though, and it's a little small for me.

ultimately you take your chances wherever you post on the internet. MN tries to provide space for people to find their tribe but no one is anything other than ‘advised’ of this. Aibu isn’t generally known for enjoyment of ‘this morning’ type conversations.

@Julianne65 I find a lot of designer stuff like that. It’s never really appealed and I just don’t ’get it’, whatever ‘it’ is.

I don't get all the mean people saying 'it's so ugly'. I personally love the colour, I love the Easter palette so it appeals to me, but even if it didn't I still don't see why people have to be quite so nasty. Just move on and say nothing.

I wouldn’t want to do it permanently but for one day I would love to live the kind of life where I take a tiny designer bag on an aeroplane instead of a bulging backpack to soft play!

Not that keen on the bag. It doesn't look very high brand to me but then what do I know. If you like it and it makes you feel good then thats the main thing. I only tried an oyster once. It was ok.

Lovely bag and very much I have lots of great bags so I don’t need another neutral/practical/goes with everything kind of bag.

It depends. Some bags are made using better types of leather and materials. The stitching and design could be more complex. Some you are paying extra for the brand/design. I like "Tanner Leatherstein" on YouTube. He deconstructs leather goods including designer bags and talks about all the components and finishes. He then gives a rough estimate of how much it would take to make the bag and if they are good value for money.

Oysters can be nice but they have a slightly metallic taste. I prefer them cooked, if you are ever in Korea or a good Korean restaurant then I recommend getting Gul Jeon.
