Ginger tea and ice cold water are my go tos.

You’ll feel better tomorrow.

RawBloomers · 15/02/2024 19:25

Sometimes very cold water, sometimes very hot (not boiling) water . Sips either way. Salted crisps if you want to eat, -plain dry carbs in small amounts. Eat before you lift your head from the pillow - keep a rush yea by your bed. Hot water bottle on your tummy. Sitting up straight with fresh air in your face, shoulders dropped, & deep breaths

How long until it goes? I hate feeling nauseous! Do you think it’s a bug?

Do you have a high temperature?

Cloud44 · 15/02/2024 19:45

Do you think a bath would help at all 🤨?

Came on to say ginger as well - tea or biscuits if you can stomach them. Also ginger essential oil in hot water helps me, but not everyone has that in their homes! Sounds like an inner ear infection so trying to stay lying down as much as possible usually is the only way to help. That dizzy vertigo feeling is awful.

Hiddenvoice · 15/02/2024 20:07

I’d suggest ginger biscuits and water. I would avoid a bath as it might make you feel more dizzy if it’s too hot.
It might be a 24 hour bug and you might Just wake up feeling better in the morning.
The best thing to do is put something rubbish on tv and try focus your mind on something else, or sleep if you can!

Pre recreational dose of cannabis

Failing that ginger tea or peppermint cordial if you happen to be the weirdest person on earth that owns such a thing

JubileeJumps · 15/02/2024 20:13

Sniff a lemon.
Also sometjingike sugar water.

Mothership4two · 15/02/2024 20:14

Or peppermint tea (forgot that). We weirdos have ginger and peppermint tea in the cupboards (and essential oils). But no cannabis sadly

Cyclebabble · 15/02/2024 20:20

My tips are diet coke- sip it slowly over a number of hours or good quality black tea with no milk. Works for me and a number of others.

Cloud44 · 15/02/2024 20:25

Thank you everyone, could do with not feeling like this tomorrow!

Stugeron travel sickness pills are the only things that work when I get migraine-related nausea and vomiting.

Cloud44 · 15/02/2024 20:26

It’s silly I know but I feel panicky when I feel sick which I know doesn’t help the situation!

Ice water and lying on your right hand side helps with nausea
